June 2010 update

We’ve been out to dance for a couple of festivals now – Rochester Sweeps Festival in May and this past weekend we were at Wimborne Folk Festival where the sun shone both days – what a contrast to the cold wet weekend for Sweeps!!

We did have a lovely time at Sweeps – as usual we danced at the Beer Festival behind the Gordon House Hotel and had a good audience on both Saturday and Sunday – and thanks to Nigel for the great beers!

Wimborne is a very pretty place to visit and Tanglefoot danced in the Cornmarket Square on both the Saturday and Sunday along with several other Appalachian Clogging teams.  It was wonderful to see so many other styles of Appalachian dancing and a very appreciative audience sat in the sunshine all day!

Next weekend sees us back in Kent at Sevenoaks – fingers crossed the weather is as kind and we do look forward to seeing you there.

If any of you would like to have a go at clogging in your kitchen, we do now have a CD for sale.  The band recorded this with the help of Ric, one of our dancers and the artwork on the CD was created by Angie, another of our dancers – so a very in-house production which can be yours for just £5!!
