Open Evening 2014

Do you want to try out a fun and energetic style of dance?

Download details here: OpenEveningNov2014_A5

We perform a style of percussive dance from the Appalachian Mountains in the South-Eastern United States. It is related to many other dance styles such as Irish stepping, English clog dancing and modern tap dance. We are lucky enough to dance to a live band that plays traditional old time tunes (think: O Brother Where Art Thou?).  You may have seen us dancing at festivals in Rochester, Faversham, Tenterden etc.

We practise every Monday evening in
Ash Village Hall, The Street, Ash-cum-Ridley TN15 7HB.

We are always being asked whether we teach so we are planning to run some beginners classes. Come and visit our open evening to see whether this style of dance is for you.

What do you need? Energy and a pair of tap or hard soled shoes. Come along and give it a try.

Musicians: Do you play a stringed instrument? Why not come along and play with our band?
